Family Faith Formation is our parish’s approach to faith formation for the whole family. Rather than a traditional drop-off religious education model, families gather together each month for an evening of prayer, formation, and time together. The program is open to all parishioners who desire to deepen their Catholic faith, whether they have young children, grown children, or are participating on their own.
Family Faith Formation meets on the second Monday of each month from October through May. Each evening begins with the whole family gathering for dinner and a brief opening activity. Families then participate in age-based formation sessions. Father Harry leads formation for parents and post-confirmation participants, while PSR teachers lead sessions for children from Pre-K through 8th grade. Childcare is available for younger children.
Following the breakout sessions, everyone reconvenes to close the evening together. Families are also provided with activities and resources to complete at home, reinforcing the monthly lesson and helping families prepare for the following gathering.
Students preparing to receive the sacraments participate in an additional monthly session as part of their sacramental preparation. Details about those sessions are provided to families participating in the sacrament-year programs.
