The Altar Society is a group of parish volunteers in the Catholic Church who care for the altar, church furnishings, and sacred vessels used in Mass. They make sure everything is clean, well-prepared, and beautiful for worship, including linens, candles, flowers, and decorations for special feast days. Their work is important because it helps create a respectful and reverent environment for the celebration of the Eucharist, allowing the congregation to focus on prayer and worship without distraction.
